Prof. Dr. Serkan Yıldırım was born in Erzurum, Türkiye, in 1981. He completed his undergraduate education at Yüzüncü Yıl University, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, and earned his PhD in Pathology from the same institution in 2012.

He has served in various academic positions including Research Assistant, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor at Yüzüncü Yıl University and Atatürk University. He was promoted to Professor in 2023.

He has held significant administrative roles including Vice Dean, Head of the Department of Pathology, Director of Hınıs Vocational School, Senate Member, and Coordinator of the Project Development and Coordination Office.

Prof. Dr. Yıldırım has received multiple Atatürk University Scientific Achievement Awards (2018–2023) and has been listed among the world’s most influential scientists according to Stanford University (2020–2023).

He has authored over 250 SCI-indexed publications, received more than 5,000 international citations, and holds an H-index of 38. He has led and participated in more than 70 scientific research projects, including EU and TÜBİTAK-funded projects.

Dr. Md. Salimullah is a senior molecular biologist and biotechnologist with over 29 years of research and administrative experience. He currently serves as Chief Scientific Officer at the National Institute of Biotechnology (NIB), Bangladesh, and National Focal Point for Biotechnology under the Ministry of Science and Technology. He earned his Ph.D. from Saitama University, Japan, and has worked extensively in Japan and Bangladesh, including at RIKEN Omics Science Center. His research contributions span molecular biology, functional genomics, biotechnology, drug and vaccine development, with more than 80 publications in reputed international journals including Nature Genetics and Nature Methods.
