Neuro-immuno-cutaneous interactions involve the nervous and immune system communication network with the skin. Neurotransmitters, neuropeptides, and some cytokines are instrumental to the inflammation and the immune system of the skin. These psychological factors can trigger and modify the activity of the skin disease. This is the new interface of neuroscience, immunology and dermatology. Translational psycho-dermatology can be strengthened by the study of these interactions.
