Email Updates: The editorial office will send emails at key stages
(acknowledgement, reviewer assignment, decision). Keep administrative
emails outbox available to receive messages from the journal.
Initial Editorial Screening (Pre-QC): The editorial team checks
fit, scope, formatting and ethical compliance. Manuscripts may be desk
rejected at this stage for poor fit or serious ethical concerns.
Under Peer Review: The manuscript has been sent to external
reviewers. Review timelines vary by field; typical first-round review
can range from 15 days
Reviews Completed: Peer reviews have been returned and editors are
evaluating.
Decision Pending: Editor is making a decision based on reviews
(accept, minor/major revision, or reject).
Revision Required: Authors are asked to revise and resubmit;
provide a point-by-point response to reviewer comments and a marked-up
manuscript.
Accepted / Rejected: Final editorial decision. If accepted, the
paper moves to production.
Copyediting & Typesetting: Manuscript is prepared for publication
(formatting, style edits). Authors receive proofs for approval.
Proofreading: Authors review proofs for minor errors; serious
changes at this stage are not permitted without editor approval.
Published Online: Article appears on the journal website.
Authors should contact the editorial office only if processing exceeds
the journal's stated timelines; routine status queries should reference
the manuscript ID.
