Editorial Workflow

  1. The Editor-in-Chief forwards the manuscript to the appropriate Section Editor (usually an Associate Editor).
  2. The Section Editor appoints at least three independent reviewers, ideally including one member of the Editorial Board.
  3. Once reviewer feedback is submitted, the Section Editor either recommends a decision to the Editor-in-Chief or initiates a dialogue among reviewers and editors.
  4. After a collective decision is reached, the author is informed by either the Editor-in-Chief or the Section Editor.

Decision Outcomes

  1. Accepted - The manuscript is ready for publication, requiring only minor corrections like typographical fixes.
  2. Accepted with Minor Revisions - Some small changes are necessary per reviewer comments, overseen by the Editor-in-Chief or Action Editor.
  3. Revise and Resubmit - The work is promising but requires significant revisions before being reconsidered.
  4. Rejected - The manuscript is outside the scope, lacks substantial contribution, or is unclear; it may be resubmitted after substantial revision.
