Dr. Jurgen Pilz (born 1951, Langenau, Germany) is a distinguished statistician specializing in applied and spatial statistics. He earned his PhD (1978) and Doctor of Science (1988) in Mathematical Statistics from Technical University Bergakademie Freiberg. He served as Professor of Mathematical Geology at TU BAF (1989–1993) and was a Humboldt Fellow at the Free University of Berlin (1991–1992). From 1994 to 2020, he was Professor and Chair of Applied Statistics at Alpen-Adria University Klagenfurt, where he also headed the Department of Statistics, and he has been Emeritus Professor since 2020. Since 2021, he serves as Senior Lecturer at Carinthia University of Applied Sciences in the International Master’s Program in Applied Data Science. He has held several international guest professorships and serves on multiple editorial boards, and he is an elected member of the International Statistical Institute (ISI) and the Institute of Mathematical Statistics (IMS).

Anton Iliev is a Bulgarian mathematician and computer scientist born on 3 December 1973 in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, currently serving as Professor and Chair of the Computer Technology Department at the University of Plovdiv, Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics. He graduated in 1996 with a degree in Mathematics (specialization in Informatics) from the same university and obtained his PhD there in 2001. Over his academic career, he has combined research, teaching, and leadership, including serving as Vice-Rector of the University of Plovdiv from 2019 to 2023. His scientific interests encompass informatics, mathematics, modelling, and numerical methods, with significant contributions to the development and refinement of computational and number-theoretic algorithms, extended Euclidean-type methods, hybrid algorithms, growth models, differential equations, oscillator systems, and applications of orthogonal polynomials in dynamical systems. He is a member of the Union of Bulgarian Mathematicians and the Association for Development of the Information Society and received a Diploma of Excellence for Young Scientists in Natural Sciences and Mathematics in 2006 from the University of Plovdiv’s Scientific Research Fund. Professor Iliev has authored and co-authored numerous publications in international peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings, including Scopus- and Web of Science-indexed journals, as well as several academic books and monographs, contributing significantly to mathematical informatics and computational modelling in Bulgaria and beyond.

He has been recognized as having a desirable PRODEP profile since 2012. He is a member of the CONACYT's Accredited Assessors Record (RCEA-CONACYT), evaluating national research projects since 2013. He is also a member of the National System of Researchers (SNII) at Level II from SECIHTI (Secretaria de Ciencia, Humanidades, Tecnologia e Innovacion). He has been distinguished as State Honorific Researcher by the Government of the State of Coahuila de Zaragoza, Mexico, and the Science and Technology State Council (COECYT). Md. Humayun Kabir is a Senior Lecturer and Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at GAM Chartered University College. He also works as a Senior Technical Trainer in Network Technology at CSL Training (CSL Academy), ERevo Technologies Ltd., and New Vision Information Technology Limited (NVIT), all based in Chattogram, Bangladesh. Before these roles, he served as a Lecturer in the Department of Computer and Communication Engineering at the International Islamic University Chittagong (IIUC) from 2022 to 2025, and has been contributing to IIUC as an adjunct faculty member since 2018.

His research interests cover a wide range of modern technologies, including Artificial Intelligence, Neural Networks, Machine Learning, Computer Networking, Cybersecurity, Internet of Things (IoT), and Wireless Communication. He has authored and co-authored more than 27 peer-reviewed publications, which include 10 SCI-indexed journal articles, one book chapter, and several papers presented at international IEEE conferences.

Mr. Kabir completed his Master of Science in Engineering (M.Sc. Engg.) in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from the Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) in 2025, and his Bachelor of Science in Engineering (B.Sc. Engg.) in the same field from IIUC in 2018.

His dedication to research excellence has earned him several prestigious recognitions. In 2025, he received three notable international awards: the Best Researcher Award, the Transfer Learning Award, and the Global Sensor Award. These honors reflect his outstanding contributions to applied research in intelligent systems and emerging technologies. Earlier, in 2021, he was also awarded the Planning and Development Section Scholarship by CUET in recognition of his academic performance and research potential.

He actively serves the global research community as an Editorial Board Member of Edelweiss Applied Science and Technology (e-ISSN: 2576-8484), and as a reviewer for more than 10 reputed SCI-indexed journals, including Sensors, Electronics, Processes, Telecom, Mathematics, IJRES, and Wiley publications, as well as various IEEE conferences. He also serves as a Technical Program Committee (TPC) member for IEEE-sponsored events, most notably the IEEE International Conference on Innovations in Science, Engineering, and Technology (ICISET).

At the institutional level, Mr. Kabir is involved in curriculum development, syllabus reform, examination and thesis committees, and quality assurance activities aligned with BAETE, BAC, and IQAC standards. He has also participated in several national academic development programs organized by BAETE, IQAC-IIUC, and the ICT Division of Bangladesh.

Through his combined work in academia and industry, Mr. Kabir remains committed to connecting theory with real-world practice, and to supporting innovation in smart systems, intelligent technologies, and next-generation network infrastructure.
