Prof. Dr. Md. Amin Uddin Mridha is a distinguished plant scientist and academic leader with more than five decades of experience in higher education, agricultural sciences, and botanical research. He earned his B.Sc. Ag. (Hons.) and M.Sc. Ag. from Bangladesh Agricultural University and completed his PhD at the University of London under the Commonwealth Scholarship, receiving the Diploma of Imperial College (DIC). He served the University of Chittagong for over 35 years, retiring as Selection Grade Professor, and later joined King Saud University as Professor. He has also served as the Founding Vice-Chancellor of Pabna University of Science and Technology, Designated Vice-Chancellor of Bestway University, Acting Vice-Chancellor of The People's University of Bangladesh, and is currently a Research Professor at Termez State University, Uzbekistan. Prof. Mridha has published over 230 research papers and supervised more than 100 postgraduate students, making significant contributions to mycorrhizal biology, plant pathology, microbial biotechnology, nanotechnology, and sustainable agriculture.
