Biography

Dr. Amalia Tri Utami is a seasoned academic and medical professional, currently serving as a Lecturer and General Practitioner at the Department of Sport Medicine, State University of Malang, Indonesia. With a multidisciplinary background spanning medicine, biomedicine, and integrative Islamic studies, Dr. Utami is dedicated to advancing healthcare education and research with a holistic approach.

She earned her Bachelor of Medicine and Master of Biomedicine from Brawijaya University, achieving high academic distinction. She later completed her Doctorate in Integrative Islamic Religion at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim, combining medical science with ethical and cultural perspectives in healthcare.

Professionally, Dr. Utami has accumulated diverse experience both in academia and clinical practice. She lectured at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim in the Pathology Department from 2016 to 2021 before joining the State University of Malang. Clinically, she has served as a General Practitioner since 2017, working in various healthcare settings including emergency medicine and outpatient clinics.

Her research interests lie in physiology, sport medicine, general practice, and the integration of halal therapies in modern healthcare. She has published extensively on topics ranging from natural and alternative treatments (e.g., honey, Nigella sativa, ginger) to COVID-19 interventions and public health innovations. Her scholarly contributions are recognized in reputable journals including the Bali Medical Journal, International Journal of Infectious Diseases, and Journal of Vaccines & Vaccination.
