Alejandro Medina Santiago is a researcher in the Department of Computer Science at the National Institute of Astrophysics, Optics, and Electronics, commissioned by SECIHTI. He holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the Center for Research and Advanced Studies of the National Polytechnic Institute, where he also earned his Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. He completed his undergraduate studies in Electronics Engineering at the Technological Institute of Tuxtla Gutiérrez.
His research interests include signal processing, machine learning and deep learning for the processing, analysis, and diagnosis of automotive ecosystems for road safety; cybersecurity at both software and hardware levels; the Internet of Things (IoT); Industry 4.0; VLSI integrated circuit design; and the development of intelligent systems based on neural networks and fuzzy logic.
