Clive Neal-Sturgess was educated King Edward VI Grammar School Nuneaton. He was a Student Apprentice at Clarkson International (now called Degree Apprenticeships), and graduated with a 1st Class Honours’ Degree from Lanchester College Coventry. He took his PhD in the Forming of Tool Steels at the University of Birmingham. He held the Jaguar Chair of Automotive Engineering 1988-2004 and was formerly Head of Mechanical Engineering at Birmingham.
He has spent the majority of his academic career researching Finite Element Methods (FEM), Continuum Damage Mechanics (CDM), Co-evolution and applying Peak Virtual Power (PVP) to predicting injury severity to car occupants and pedestrians in vehicle crashes and falls. He has had a long (currently 52 years) fruitful research career, h-index 21, currently 214 publications and three books, with over 35,000 reads and over 1700 citations. He was Director of the Automotive Safety Centre for 15 years during which time we investigated around 7500 KSI’s (killed, seriously injured). Whilst in post he was co-holder of £6.7m of research grants including EU and EPSRC. He was a member of the Editorial Boards of three Journals. He is a member of the Parliamentary Advisory Council for Transport Safety. He is currently Chairman of the Academics in Mechanical Engineering (AiME) Sectoral Group of the Engineering Professors Council, and Chairman of the Midlands Centre of the Automotive Division of the IMechE. He is also the Clerk/Trustee of the Newport’s School Foundation, a large educational Charity under the Charities Commission.

Wen-Jer Chang received the M.S. degree from the Institute of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering from the National Central University in 1990 and the Ph. D. degree from the Institute of Electrical Engineering of the National Central University in 1995. Since 1995, he has been with the National Taiwan Ocean University, Keelung, Taiwan, R.O.C. He is currently a Distinguished Professor of the Department of Marine Engineering and the Director of the Center for Social Responsibility and Sustainable Development of National Taiwan Ocean University. In 2014 and 2022, he received the Outstanding Research Teacher Award from the National Taiwan Ocean University. From 2016 to 2020, he was the Dean of Academic Affairs at National Taiwan Ocean University. From 2016 to 2021, he was the Executive Supervisor of the Taiwan Open Courseware Consortium. From 2018 to 2023, he was a member of the council of the Taiwan Fuzzy Systems Association (TFSA). Since 2021, he has been the Chairman of the Association of Marine Affairs. From 2021 to 2023, he was a member of the council of the International Association of Electrical, Electronic, and Energy Engineering (IAEEEE). In 2022, he was elected to the grade of IEEE Senior Member. From 2021 to 2025, he is listed in the “World's Top 2% Scientists”, according to Stanford University. Dr. Chang has authored more than 170 published journal papers and 140 refereed conference papers. His recent research interests are intelligent control, fuzzy control, robust control, marine engineering, and smart shipping.

Panagiotis Vlamos is a Full Professor, Member of the Governance Board of the Ionian University and Scientific Director of the Bioinformatics and Human Electrophysiology Laboratory (BiHELab) at the Ionian University. He has authored more than 200 papers in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings as well as 16 educational books. The topics of his papers are Mathematical Modelling, Applied and Discrete Mathematics as well as Bioinformatics. His main research interest ισ to help bridge the translational gap from data to models and from models to drug discovery and personalized therapy by developing quantitative deterministic approaches to biological and clinical problems by utilizing high-performance computing. Professor Elsayed Said Mohamed Salama is a Professor of Soil and Remote Sensing and a specialist in Remote Sensing and GIS applications for land degradation assessment, land rehabilitation, and sustainable resource planning. He is currently a Consultant of Land Degradation and Rehabilitation at the National Center for Vegetation Cover (NCVC), Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He previously served as Professor and Head of the Soil Department at the National Authority for Remote Sensing and Space Sciences (NARSS), Egypt (2018–2024), and held earlier academic and research positions at NARSS since 2001. He received his B.Sc. in Land and Water from Al-Azhar University (2000), M.Sc. in Land from Zagazig University (2006), and Ph.D. in Land from Moscow State University (2011). His research interests include land degradation and rehabilitation, land evaluation, soil and water pollution assessment, climate change impacts on agriculture, smart agriculture monitoring, and soil erosion studies. Rahim Zahedi is an Assistant Professor of the department of energy governance, University of Tehran, Iran. Rahim has a PhD in energy systems engineering from University of Tehran. He got the highest score in energy systems engineering PhD entrance exam of Iran in 2020 and became the first rank in the country. He is assigned 2023 JTACC-V4 Young Scientist Award, the best worldwide young scientist in the field of thermal sciences, in the Conference: Journal of Thermal Analysis and Calorimetry Conference (JTACC) and 9th V4 (Joint Czech-Hungarian-PolishSlovakian) Thermoanalytical Conference (JTACC+V4 2023), Balatonfüred, Hungary. He has won the National Renewable Energy Award and is chosen as the national best young researcher in the field of energy. He obtained the first rank of the country's best industrial plan in the national oil and gas event and received a certificate of appreciation for the best researcher in the field of petroleum engineering. He is also assigned 2024 Alborz Prize (Iranian Nobel Prize), as the best young scientist of the country. He has done a lot of research in terms of energy and environment and his research area is dedicated to them. He has been in the list of top 2% scientists in the world in 2024 and 2025 by Stanford University as the youngest Iranian on the list and also his research interest area is BEM and LCA.

He is the SASSCAL Research Chair in Water Resource Quantity and Availability, and a member of the SASSCAL Graduate Studies Programme in Integrated Resources Management (SGSP-IWRM) Academic and Scientific Advisory Committee (ASAC). Prof Moalafhi is also a member of the Botswana Water Apportionment Board, and WaterNet Board of Trustees.
