Kelvin received his B. Eng. (Geomatics)(Hons) from UniversitiTeknologi Malaysia (UTM), Master of Remote Sensing & GIS from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) and completed his Ph.D specialize in Hydrography from UTM. He is currently a Professional Technologist (P. Tech) registered under the Malaysia Board of Technologist (MBOT), Fellow of Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (RISM), Professional Member of Institution of Geospatial and Remote Sensing Malaysia (IGRSM) and Member of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).His expertise lies in hydrography, marine surveying, and applied geospatial engineering, with research interests encompassing bathymetric mapping, satellite-derived bathymetry, coastal and offshore surveying, and marine spatial analysis. He has published more than 16 indexed journal articles and has led or contributed to several competitive research grants and community-based projects, particularly in support of coastal management and climate change mitigation initiatives. His work integrates advanced geospatial technologies with rigorous field-based hydrographic surveys, aiming to enhance coastal resilience, maritime safety and sustainable marine and urban development.

Touqeer Ahmed received his B.E degree in Electrical Engineering from Quaid-E-Awam University of Engineering, Science and Technology, Pakistan, in 2010, his M.E in Energy Systems Engineering from Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Pakistan in 2016 and his Ph.D. in Swarm Intelligence based Microgrid Controls from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Malaysia in 2020. He joined the Faculty of Engineering at Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Pakistan in January 2012 as Lecturer. He was promoted to the rank of Assistant Professor and Assocaite Professor in 2016 and 2022 respectively in same department. Dr. Touqeer has led the Department of Electrical Engineering Mehran University of Engineering and Technology as Chairperson for the two years from September 2022 to September 2024. He joined A’Sharqiyah University, Oman in October 2024 as Assistant Professor in department of Electronics and Communication Engineering. He is a reviewer of several ISI-indexed journals and published about 50 journal and conference articles. His research interests include swarm intelligence-based optimization methods for microgrid controls, Machine learning based classification and prediction methods and applications of artificial intelligence and evolutionary algorithms in different control schemes.

Anila Kanwal is a dedicated Agricultural Scientist specializing in sustainable plant protection and forest pathology. She holds a BSc (Hons) in Agricultural Sciences from the University of Agriculture Faisalabad, Pakistan, and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Forest Sciences at the Universidade Federal do Tocantins (UFT), Brazil, with a research focus on the biological control of Eucalyptus canker using essential oils. She further expanded her expertise through a Specialization in Plant Protection from the Henan Academy of Agricultural Sciences (HAAS) in China, where she studied the rearing and management of the Asian corn borer.

Professionally, she has gained valuable research experience as a Research Assistant at the Ayub Agricultural Research Institute (AARI) and as a Research Executive at the Centre for Agriculture and Bioscience International (CABI). She currently contributes as a Research Assistant at the Henan Academy of Agricultural Sciences. Her applied research has resulted in peer-reviewed publications on topics such as the management of fall armyworm in maize and the temporal progress of sheath blight in irrigated rice, reflecting her commitment to integrated pest management and sustainable agriculture.

An active participant in the scientific community, she engages with networks such as the Research Network on Biodiversity and Sustainability and has attended workshops and symposia on bioinformatics and sustainability. Fluent in English, Urdu, Arabic, and Portuguese, she brings a multicultural and interdisciplinary perspective to her work. Her expertise spans Agronomy, Phytosanitary, Agricultural Entomology, and Forest Resources, aligning closely with the interdisciplinary goals of environmental science and sustainability.

My research focuses on biosensor design and development, including electrochemical and nanobiosensors, label-free and FET-based biosensing platforms, wearable and microfluidic biosensors, and point-of-care diagnostics. His main research interests include physical-organic chemistry, asymmetric organic chemistry, education for sustainability, environmental and social justice, green chemistry in education “sustainable chemistry”, context-based teaching and learning in chemistry and science, students’ alternative conceptions and learning difficulties in science, and strategies for diagnosing misconceptions to improve understanding in chemistry.

His academic work focuses on plant–soil interactions, metal toxicity, phytoremediation, alien plant species, and plant diagnostic methodologies.
