Prof. Abdel-Hamid Ali Soliman is a Professor of Signal Processing and Telecommunications at Staffordshire University, United Kingdom, and Director of Research Students in Engineering. He is also an Honorary Professor at Xi’an University of Posts and Telecommunications, China. He earned his PhD in Image Processing and Pattern Recognition from Staffordshire University in 2007, along with postgraduate certificates in Research Methods and Research Supervision. Earlier, he completed his MSc in Information Technology from Alexandria University and his BEng in Electronics and Telecommunications from the Arab Academy for Science and Technology.
With more than 30 years of academic and research experience across the UK, Egypt, Jordan, and the USA, Prof. Soliman’s research focuses on digital signal processing, telecommunications, Internet of Things (IoT), wireless sensor networks, and smart systems for applications such as smart cities, healthcare, and agriculture. He has supervised numerous postgraduate students, led several international research collaborations and funded projects, and serves as an editor, reviewer, and associate editor for several international journals including IEEE publications.
