Biography

Dr. Mohammad Reza Bigdeli is an Associate Professor specializing in the pathophysiology and pharmacology of neurological disorders, with a focus on stroke and neuroprotection. His research explores ischemic tolerance, neuroprotective strategies, and the role of safe non-pharmacological interventions such as normobaric hyperoxia and antioxidant-rich diets, particularly olive-derived compounds, in protecting the brain from ischemic injury. He has led multiple projects funded by the Iran National Science Foundation and Razi Herbal Medicine Research Center, producing extensive publications in high-impact journals. Dr. Bigdeli earned his PhD in Medical Physiology from Tarbiat Modarres University, where he ranked first nationally in graduate entrance exams, and has received numerous awards for academic excellence. He has taught physiology at undergraduate, master's, and doctoral levels and serves as a reviewer for leading neuroscience and biomedical journals.
