We spoke with several presenting authors from discussions about the association of cannabis use and suicidal behavior to decreasing antibiotic use for community-acquired pneumonia to iron deficiency screenings at birth.

In this recap video, we'll take you through some of the top responses we received from investigator interviews conducted by Contemporary Pediatrics.

First, we start with Jesse Hinckley, MD, associate professor at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, who described the associations of cannabis use and suicidal behavior among youth.

From there, we spoke with Jillian Cotter, MD, MSCS, about updates for the treatment of community-acquired pneumonia that health care providers should be aware of, given that the most recent published updates for pneumonia are from 2011.

Keeping with CAP, we switched to our conversation with Elysha Pifko, MD, an assistant professor of Pediatrics at Sidney Kimmel Medical College and Nemours Hosptial for Children, who discussed a quality improvement project that aimed to reduce antibiotic duration.

In another discussion with Geetika Kennady, MD, FAAP, a neonatologist at Thomas Jefferson University and Nemours Children's Health, who presented findings from her team's prospective study about iron deficiency prevalence at birth and the need for early screening.
